CrowdWater - how to measure water with your smartphone

This presentation will present CrowdWater, a citizen science project that invites everyone to help observe our water resources. Using a smartphone, participants can contribute simple observations of stream levels, soil moisture, temporary streams, and other water-related conditions. The talk will show how these everyday contributions can become useful, allow better predictions of floods and droughts, and help communities make more informed decisions about water.

Conservation pest control in sugar beet

Virus yellows is a major problem in sugar beet cultivation. These viruses are mainly transmitted by aphids, especially the green peach aphid. This project aims to control virus spread by attracting beneficial insects through the use of flower strips
