Jérôme Chappellaz is a climate change researcher and former Director of the French Polar Institute Paul-Émile Victor (IPEV). He has conducted research on greenhouse gases using ice cores and interstitial air from polar snow pack, contributing to IPCC reports. With 11 expeditions to Antarctica and 5 to the Arctic, he has extensive knowledge of polar environments.
Danièle Rod
Danièle Rod
(Executive Director at Fondation Swiss Polar Institute)
Danièle Rod is the Executive Director of the SPI, based in the Alpole building of EPFL Sion. She has a background in political science, administrative studies and economics. Before becoming the Executive Director of the SPI in 2017, Danièle Rod worked extensively on EU and international science collaboration programs.
