Our pupils offer an interesting glimpse into how hard our bodies and brains are working. Moving is effortful, and keeping up our performance over time is harder than it looks, but can the promise of a reward change that? In this talk, I will share how a simple reward can shift the way we perform in a fatigued state, and whether our pupils reflect how hard we try.
